It does kinda seem like the supply of influencers is functionally infinite, but the demand is limited.

This is such an great feature (Rebecca is great!), and I've been thinking about it for a few days. IMO, "Influencer" in the ten-years-ago sense was really a LOT of jobs (spokesmodel/copywriter/etc.) but now it's morphing, at least in part, into "intentionally annoying person" which feels worse.

Dan Mielcarz@mielcarz.bsky.social · 20h agoIf you read the Atlantic article the authors of the study ( @tuhinchakr.bsky.social , et al) did more than just use Pangram. They found identical sentences in Daggermouth and other self-published ebooks by other authors.
Look - it's just really hard for me to buy that "student center busy at lunchtime" is something that only ChatGPT could have delivered to a murderer.

OK I ihad assumed that this post was going to be a vigorous defense of Terry Pratchett, but it's about buying used clothing from charities and that's really a VERY different thing.
I think it’s good when people have strong opinions about art and get into arguments
I do think it should be a federal crime to post video of yourself talking with a screenshot of something in the background.
