People saying that AES eeking out the win is the worst case scenario and I disagree. Dude was getting WAY too big for his britches in the last week. Maybe barely beating Stevens woke him up to the fact that a general election win is not guaranteed and not won partying at a pool with LA influencers

"Why can Mamdani Just Fuckin Lie about unpopular beliefs while so many of his peers cannot?" Mamdani's leftism is more ruthlessly (laudatory) pragmatic and power-focused than theirs. He cares less about "winning the debate of ideas" and more about achieving power to enact his will

I could forgive AOC for the "look at this dirtwater!" stunt because if you squint there was an actual legit issue attached to it. "Reaching out" to MAHA people and giving them credence is outrageous, borderline an attack on disabled people

Some of us have known of Climate Defiance since their founder started Sephiroth posting after Pete calmly walked offstage while they screamed at him for supposedly not being a pro-environment enough SoT around that time they were also really bad at hiding that they were being paid by Ro Khanna

Petty but I want Mo Seifeldein to lose tomorrow specifically for parking a giant LED billboard truck in front of people's houses outside the Alexandria 250th celebration. Thing was blazing on every side and was so bright it hurt to look at, 10 feet away from people's windows. Asshole behavior.

We are in an environment where Texas and Iowa are competitive for Dems and there are people On Here smugly dismissing Dem politicians who publicly say that there are previously red voters motivated by anything other than Pure Evil These states did not get entirely new electorates in 2 years!

Tbh there are people on this site who reject "there is a secret majority of Good Voters in red states who have been disenfranchised" while also espousing "anyone who has ever voted Republican is bad, evil, and unreachable" without realizing the logical conclusion (this country is unsalvageable)

there are a lot of philosophical concepts that get egregiously misused out of the seminar room (and in the seminar room, to be fair). but in terms of sheer pernicious misuse "social construct" has gotta be top 5 somewhere and it's not number 5

Channel 4 has announced documentary “The Great ADHD Myth?” It “seeks to determine whether ADHD is a genuine neurodevelopmental disorder, or a social construct.”

VA's governor just restored voting rights for more than 60k citizens, a reversal from the previous governor and a reminder of VA's harsh lifetime voting ban for any felony conviction The move comes ahead of a November referendum to end this system and start restoring rights when people exit prison

Virginia Governor Restores Voting Rights for Thousands With Past Felony Convictions - Bolts

This is the only state that, absent action by the governor, bans people convicted of any felony from voting for life. Virginians have an opportunity to end that system for good in November.

My confession is that whenever someone tries to sell me a book primarily based on its magic system, it is basically an anti-endorsement for me I just don't care to read a textbook of fake physics!

In response to a loaded question from Fox News meant to tee up an attack on Mamdani, Buttigieg instead says "there's so much that we do in fact agree on ... people can tell that the system we have is not just showing its age, it's letting us down"

When Matthew Vines published his (bad) "I'm not queer I am gay" piece in the NYT, I wish I had seen a lot more people saying it was wrong because there is no reason to pit subversive queer people and normies against each other and a movement can and should include both

I'm not trying to be "revolutionary" or "subversive" by being trans. I had gender dysphoria, and this is what fixed it. I wanted to be a girl as long as I remember. I'm way happier now that I can be. I'm not trying to make a political statement about gender by existing.

That "cringe" nonbinary xenogender
genderfuck therian who uses
neopronouns and may or may not go
on HRT while being loudly, proudly
themselves will always be more
revolutionary and subversive than a
binary trans person who aggressively
reproduces the cis status quo and
shames anyone who doesn't do the
same.
