I'm looking to interview anyone who has worked at an electronics assembly (components or systems) factory, anywhere in the world, before 1990. I can offer $100CAD / hour, though I don't think my questions will run the full hour. If you know anyone who is still able and willing to answer, plz lmk

It’s been over 7 months since we last saw this male lemon shark w/ a broken jaw and a fishhook gash. It’s good to see the wound has healed and it looks otherwise healthy… despite having a broken jaw that can no longer retract, exposing his mouth full of sharp teeth #scarface #jaws #coralcitycamera

I have a chapter in this with the wonderful Yani Kong! It's been a minute since the workshop that led to this book, but I still dig our exploration of constraint through slow and decelerated media as we wrote together. Thanks @apasek.bsky.social for collecting and editing us ✨

Found this episode (about Britain) more helpful than anything so far to think abt this wave of nationalism in Canada and the contradictions/possibilities/inevitabilities of a left nationalism. where can I get my 3+ hours of listening on the waffle??

A 2025 goal was to read 100 books. I got very close (96) and was happy that I read consistently. Though I wish I had read less genre fiction, less contemporary books with buzz (61 were released in 2025 + 2024), and was over my theory hangover (at generous count I managed 4).
That's a step increase in employment of 20-30% for building trades employment. Sean Strickland from @cdntrades.bsky.social sums it up perfectly: "Canada’s transition to a cleaner economy represents one of the most significant job creation opportunities in our country’s history." #canlab /4
Sad to learn Yves Veggies Cuisine is discontinued via insta comment, ouch. It is/was a (not always great) staple of being vegetarian and vegan in Canada. Especially in rural grocery stores: dailyhive.com/vancouver/yv... brb actually considering how to start a nationwide plant protein cooperative

Just chatted with a friend about the lack of real membership orgs in our lives and how sad canvassing to mobilize can feel. This article sets up what is at stake: “not just the democracy of elections—the democracy of everyday life, where we routinely and communally participate in power”
Hah, my editor at The Nation just let me know that they ran a piece *this very same morning* that makes an eerily similar pitch. www.thenation.com/article/poli...
