@ronentk.me mentioned how atproto stacks are starting to resemble organisms. Each product plays a role and the whole stack gets more effective because of it. Network effects! But from products rather than users

A corollary here is that you need a top-notch internal team to reap the (potentially massive) benefits. Government, in particular, loves to abdicate the highest-level tech planning and system design. That needs to change.

This is wildly irresponsible. Even if there are legit uses (modeling flooding or wildfire devastation, maybe), they could drastically cut down on misinformation abuse by rendering in a lower-res illustration style. Also, watermark the hell out of it and host an image checker service.
