*2026 El Niño Ahead by a Mile* It’s remarkable for us scientists to witness El Niño’s evolution. If you had asked us if something like this was possible a year ago, it would have been a definitive no. But here we are… already more than 1C (& 3 months) ahead of the next strongest episode in 1997… 1/

Solar PV and batteries are much cheaper than fossil fuels, far less damaging in the mining required for the supply chain, produces cheaper energy, creates more jobs, saves the climate, and is better for our health. Anyone choosing fossil fuels is in a death cult.

Baked in: "Earth will experience an increasingly erratic climate: more frequent and intense extremes in temperature, precipitation and storms — not only more heatwaves and droughts, but also more cold spells and floods." www.nature.com/articles/d41...

‘Climate free fall’: why the biggest risk to our economies is yet to be recognized

Increasing instability of the ocean, ice and atmosphere threatens farming, finance and society. We all need to wake up to that fact.

Because the politicians decided they don’t want to please voters, they want to please billionaires. Green party politicians are unlike Labour politicians who worship billionaires. Connect some dots.

A mostly unsung benefit of electric mobility (cars, bikes, wheelchairs, trains, etc.) is reducing the effectiveness of gas prices as a visible indicator of "THE ECONOMY" to people who don't pay close attention. Happy to take that particular knob of popular opinion influence away from oil barons.

Idk who needs to hear this but Trump has not suddenly become a climate activist — he is just making empty threats to try and pressure oil companies to bring down gas prices before the election (they won’t)

Should have invested in solar and batteries instead. Cheaper. Faster to build. Cheaper to run. And also works in the heat. Nuclear power doesn’t work in the heat. It’s a moron technology. Used by morons. Sold to morons.

Reporter: Isn’t there concern that this slippery slope to socialism inevitably ends up as full-blown communism? AOC: They want to call everything they don’t like communist because if people actually wake up to the fact that their elected officials are screwing them over when they get here

The spark matters far less than we think. Sparks happen everywhere and all the time. But massive wildfires seem to happen broadly when the fuel (dry vegetation) is abundant. It’s the fuel that matters. A car with an empty fuel tank won’t run by adding more spark plugs.

The spark that lights the fuel isn’t the cause of a fire. Without fuel there isn’t a fire. Hot, dried out vegetation is the fuel. Droughts and heat caused by climate change is the cause of a fire. The spark simply ignites the fire. And if the fuel is there, it will patiently wait.
