#New in #OAC ! The sphingolipid sphingomyelin 34:1 is upregulated in the synovial fluid of those with OA. Work from @phar.cam.ac.uk shows that SM34:1 causes inflammatory pain in mice, inducing neuronal hyperexcitability. @psalmotoxin.bsky.social @interlukein.bsky.social @mayadannawi.bsky.social
