From Austria ~ EN/GER ~ he/him ~ disabled ~ former technical artist, working on a passion project ~ I enjoy video games no one plays [anymore] ~ Profile images: Making of MDK booklet.

I finally watched the Patlabor OVA series. What a delight! Now to research what order I watch the other series and movies (and where to get them, distribution is a nightmare)

Mobile Police Patlabor: The Early Days (Miniseries 1988) poster.

Being stuck on things is not fun. But it's worse to have brain-lock because I have no idea how to tackle a specific task. It's a mountain to learn and I am not sure it's even worth it in the end...

The amount of working artists I've spoken to who are losing or have lost the ability to make a viable career out of it due largely to people's use of genAI instead of hiring artists is genuinely so upsetting. We won't know what we've lost until it's gone.

I have to get this out. Yes I could have used better wording and not use mobile to post that. I still think hiking regional pricing is bad. Do not suggest I want people to not get paid for their jobs. Do not tell me I am "entitled gamer" when I was simply looking at prices. Yes my English sucks.

you already know what's up (steam sale rec thread is what's up) as always, i focus primarily on older, obscure, and just plain weirder games, as big name titles don't need the help. with that said, onwards!

an edited version of the box art for the old computer game Hacker II: The Doomsday Papers. the title now says "Spacetwinks Rec Thread. The Steam Summer Sale 2026 edition". my fursona, a pink kangaroo in goth style clothes, is on the old computer monitor saying "hey man what's up".

at the bottom left on a blue sticker, it says: "Get this, the original boxart here is for a game called Hacker II and the original Hacker game was shipped with literally zero information on how to play, to make it more 'authentic' or w/e. Fucking buck wild, right?"

the activision logo of the time has been replaced by the word 'Kangaroo'.

It's so draining and embarrassing being part of the video game industry Some of us are *really* trying to do good work, and it just feels completely, constantly overshadowed by fucking idiots doing what they describe as "business" Honestly just don't even like saying I'm part of *this* anymore

If companies like Capcom boast about genAI usage, I simply won't buy and play their games anymore. I don't need to play every game, there are enough out there.
