Writing is easy. Writing goodly is the hard. RPG enthusiast. GM in training since 1976. Loves Romance, Adventure, Fantasy. He/Him

"You're a machine. How is this complicated for you?" He asked. "What," she answered holding back her tears, "you think I created my programing? You think I wanted to be built to look like this? To be an object and to want to be touched only to hate the feel of human skin. I never wanted this!"

The thing about being "picked on" because you are perceived as weird, see, is that it is not what most people think. You are lucky, really, because those people are drawn to you for reasons they don't understand, they don't know how to manage what they feel and act out. Being shunned, is different.

I didn’t. But i used to say, “I’m divisive. People seem to either really like me, or really not.” But i didn’t know why. Over many decades, a few psych degrees, and a lot of being “othered” i was diagnosed #AuDHD at about 45. For an average person, i’m very weird. For an AuDHD? Super normal.

Sorry for acting weird, I am weird and it will happen again

Being weird or even considered weird has never brought me joy. I suppose it should. I know it does for many people. But, I have been in a straight jacket, in solitary confinement, in a psychiatric ward. It was not fun. I was sent to the principal in second grade, so maybe then.

QUESTION OF THE DAY: This sounds like a joke question, but it isn’t. If it doesn’t apply to you, fine. But it’s a serious question with different levels of meaning. And I am genuinely curious. When did you first realize you were weird?

Would anyone be interested in me sharing WIPs of my written projects? I know art is flashier, but all of my OCs are from written projects. I usually don't share my writing WIPs because I don't think they're as interesting as seeing my OCs as artworks...

Sometimes, sometimes I miss 19th century novels "Chapter 14, where Mona and Roger discover William's plan to force the restaurant to close before the Duke arrives and Tabitha becomes engaged to the young Donald."

🪄 “What If?” Workshop Ever daydreamed a weird AU or crossover for your own characters? Drop it here. Bonus points for drawing it out. 🪐🖋️

Had a conversation with 37yo offspring this morning about #TropeRPG and neurodivergence and game design and we bounced ideas off each other about the need to show our processes to others and how that comes across as appearing to show that "I'm smarter than you, you just don't know it".

The whole professional GM thing is fascinating to me. I think I get the appeal, and obviously there is a market. But, I don't think I would ever do it. I don't think that GM or DM - ing is sacred or any such nonsense. I just don't think I'd like the added pressure. Play anyway you like.
