I am late to watching House of the Dragon season 3. First two seasons mostly just ok. But last night I watched season 3 episode 1 and holy crap, the Battle of the Gullet! I couldn’t sleep afterwards, I was too riled up.

The universality of Dolly: I am with an int’l group of hikers in a small town in Ireland. I got the news from a friend and told them at dinner. The German, the Americans, the Canadians & the South African all gasped and said “oh no!” and immediately picked up their phones to learn more. RIP, queen.

For the first time in an entire lifetime of having dogs, I have one who is chill enough (when tired from a dog park AND a walk) to sit with us on a patio for a meal. 15 months old, and he just watched all the dogs & kids, without trying to play with any of them….or eat the food. Good boy!! 🐕

I found this in our yard & I’m worried it’s the start of a horrible apocalyptic zombie thing. All other signs seem to be pointing that way too (fires/smoke/heat, advancing fascism, war). (Fuligo Septica, also known as dog vomit slime mold)

Currently watching Highlander. I had forgotten how phenomenally cheesy this movie is. The acting is…..oooof. And Sean Connery’s shifting accent as an “Egyptian.” Yikes. At least there’s the soundtrack.

It’s #InternationalPuppyDay?!?! Every day is puppy day here. This little pogo-bouncy, spazzy, bitey great big soft cuddly chaos tornado is almost a year old and we adore him.

A PSA, in case anyone needs it: don’t eat your bed, there are very serious (and expensive) consequences. The puppy is recovering well on day 5 post-op, but almost certainly would have died without surgery. Little stinker.

I’m going to wait to call this a victory until I’m sure the words are followed by actions….lasting actions. Why would anyone give them the gift of trust on this?

I know people on Bsky know this but I hope it filters out: The feds are OCCUPYING the Twin Cities. This is a blockade, a siege. They are shutting down economic and civic activity. They are conducting "papers please" stops. They are criminalizing being a bystander/witness. You could be next.

This deserves very broad circulation. So many examples of illegal 🧊intimidation and harassment here. Such immense bravery on display by observers.
