In an intervention once, the mod stated that a national survey of CT scans showed, because of drinking, smoking, head injury (sports, car wrecks), old age, and (amazingly) simple desuetude, a certain percentage of American adults had lost the use of their prefrontal cortex. That percent? 30%.

Spider-Man panel at SDCC Málaga! L to R, our moderator, Giuseppe Camuncoli, Pepe Larraz, me, John Romita Jr.
As fun as splash pages are, page 2 tends to be the most important page of the story. That’s generally where the predicament gets laid out in detail.
The pencils for the splash show the tripwire for the bomb NW inadvertently armed crawling through an air duct. This unpublished issue has to do with IEDs basically, which is why it probably got yanked!
And yet again another artist appreciation post! This round, the brilliant @rick-leonardi.bsky.social These are a handful of inks I’ve done over the last year or so, a couple I don’t think I’ve shared before. #Unofficial
Some very subtle design choices in these four panels. Echoes of Toth!
SIX of US #2 inks! #darkhorsecomics Six of Us issue #1 is available now wherever you get your comics! Written by Tom King, art by yours truly, color art by Jordie Bellaire, lettering by Clayton Cowles.
Batman Day. From Batgirl #70something, inks by Jesse Delperdang, re-colored by @neerajnmenon.bsky.social
I’m hoping this is the first in a series of exciting episodes.
Okay, HUGE NEWS from Uggi. Presented to you in a picture thread.
120 yrs later, McCay is STILL untouchable. He was a visual arts genius.
Little Nemo in Slumberland by Winsor McCay from September 16, 1906.
Couldn’t get paid what he was worth, so with a family to support , he left out to get a real job.
Perhaps my favourite inker over your work (among strong competition). A modern day Sinnott with sadly too small a body of work. He made Andy Kubert pop too.
Lots to learn from Jesse Delperdang’s inks. Fidelity to the pencils, sure. But more striking, even unique, is his dynamic range, the variety of his line weights, the judicious use of detail. In musical terms, it’s knowing when to play ppp and when to go fff. And Jesse’s pitch perfect!
A slew of #pencils from multiple @rick-leonardi.bsky.social comics, have been posted in a Rick fan page I follow. Lots of chances to further embarrass myself #inking his brilliant line art. This page done in #Procreate
