#new2me26 Jim Sullivan - Jim Sullivan Whilst never quite hitting the same biblical heights as his incredible 1968 debut UFO, this is still a great album. Released on the short-lived Playboy label (yes, that Playboy), this 1972 LP was the last he made before his disappearance in 75. Recommended.

#new2me26 The Clean - Anthology Always knew the name, but only heard them for the first time here on Bluesky and I am now completely hooked. Brilliant songs that somehow could never have come from a British or American band. The original albums are really expensive, so this 4 LP set is perfect.

I tell you what is nice. A massively overrunning supper that is interrupted by When My Baby's Beside Me by Big Star pops up on the stereo and you have a little kiss with your wife. Just nice.
Number one in the UK on the day I was born (I think). The top 10 also included not one but two Bowie songs, Slade & Bryan Ferry.

#new2me26 Peregrine - Peregrine Not entirely convinced by this one. A private pressing from an English trio originally released in 1972, it's just a bit too twee for me. Some lovely songs (largely let down by some naff lyrics), but it's certainly not essential listening. Dunno, maybe it's just me?
