My brain has decided that this weekends we're going to fret over not properly enjoying the weather and not getting enough work done. It's decided we're not allowed to win either way.

I followed up with the school board via email today after I testified last night, and one school board member sent my suggestions on to the superintendent and all the other important bureaucrats making 5x my salary. He called my list of demands "five actionable solutions." I'm feeling powerful
My take is that it’s generally rude to enjoy a nice drink when everyone else didn’t get a nice drink so if you come with iced coffees for the whole interview committee it’s fine.

I wouldn't bring a coffee to a job interview, but I'm not sure why. It just doesn't feel right. Maybe it feels like I didn't give myself enough time to finish my coffee beforehand and therefore it signals that I'm not prepared

i think you can fairly say that the second trump administration is the most racist federal administration since woodrow wilson and honestly i'm not sure that it isn't more racist than wilson's

the neighbor kids sent over an advance team of two of the little girls to knock on the door and ask if they could come over to play and as soon as i said yes literally a dozen children i've never seen before came streaming out of the bushes into my backyard
I understand that the reason Lorelai can't cook but can sew is that, when they were living at the inn, they got all their food for free from the inn restaurant, but couldn't afford clothes. But Lorelai is a competent adult, fully capable of readong a recipe, and cooking is simply not that hard.
