Readers emailing authors and "correcting" the parts of the story or writing they think they could do better is ludicrous. Write your own book, or leave a review, or tell your friends, whatever. But don't expect the writer (or their editors) to respond positively to your fixes.

I’m finally reading my ARC of Brian Evenson’s upcoming book PHANTOM LIMB and I’m so enamored with this epigraph that opens the novel. The marriage of the abject, the grotesque and the soft, the pleasant.
