Corporate Dems (and AIPAC Dems) are so freaked out about Democratic Socialist messaging actually getting through to people that they're basically joining the Republicans in painting democratic socialism as "communism." It's the new Red Scare. Why are they so terrified? Well...

Haley Stevens has benefited from nearly $60 million in outside spending (about 1/2 from AIPAC alone). Given that those outside groups are mostly supporting her because of positions she shares with Mike Rogers, that $$$ will dry up in the general. If she wins the primary, Dems lose the general.

We really don’t reckon enough with how the flattening of truth and misinformation on social media + the right-wing takeover of all prominent “neutral” media = an environment where consequences for the far right don’t really exist anymore. Cowardice, confusion, complicity, & complacency rule the day.
