Wednesday morning I had the chance to visit the Becoming A Man (BAM) Youth Guidance Program at the Mildred School in Mattapan. Grateful to spend time with these young kings, hear their perspectives, and witness the powerful work being done to support their growth, leadership, and future success.

Today was all about community. From Little League Opening Day and ice cream with neighbors, to installing 400+ smoke detectors with BFD and the Red Cross, to standing with advocates for a safer Hyde Park Ave, this is what it’s about. Showing up, working together, and building a stronger community.

Yesterday, we held a hearing on transportation safety projects across the city. Thank you to the many advocates who showed up and testified in support of safer streets, we appreciate your voices and commitment.

Today, the Boston City Council will hold a transportation hearing on two dockets I’m proud to have co-sponsored—#0204 and #0588—focused on strengthening street infrastructure and making our roads safer for everyone.

This morning, we rallied together to defend TPS and stand with immigrant communities everywhere. We heard from powerful organizations such as IFSI, MIRA Coalition, La Colaborativa, and more. Families across many communities are at risk of being separated and it is time to fight for what’s right!
