We should put policies like banning federal stock trading and cracking down on Trump’s corruption up for a vote. Let the Republicans decide if they want to stay tied to this. If they do, let’s clear away Senate filibuster rules and pass the laws anyway.

So, you want to "do something" but the help/hopelessness of the moment (and maybe seasonal depression) might be overwhelming; so much needs to happen, so many need help, how do you even begin? Start with you. What do you want to do? What are you good at, passionate about, and/or willing to learn?
Half of our university library is now let out to an acountancy firm. We need libraries, we need space for research, reading and thinking.

Have you not volunteered since community service was required in high school but want to? Do you desperately want to do something but the idea of giving up your only free time is a big hurdle? I got you.
A big, big, big lesson from the last two years and this election is that we have to be involved in our communities. We have to protect each other, serve each other, care about each other's well being. It's non-negotiable. It's community or nothing. Lmk if you want ideas on how to get involved!
Both Stacey and Beto are among the best of Gen X. 70s babies! My God... the best among us truly *did* try. Every generation has torchbearers. But some gens are destined to plant seeds & build bridges. To be the foundation. What a blessing to see some of that early fruit blossom in our lifetimes. 😭
