There's something to be said about how in the US CS Lewis is seen as a writer of Christian apologetics above all else & as a result Narnia is *only* seen as allegory, while in Britain he's seen as an author of beloved children's books, & we find the whole "the lion is Jesus" stuff a bit embarrassing

This is such a weird book but it really does have its fantastic moments, & I think it's my fav in the trilogy. Some fun biblical stuff, ongoing wrestling with the nature of violence amidst WWII, genuinely scary horror writing from a man better known for a kids book w talking beavers... *chefs kiss*

This is the most fucked up and immediately harmful policy decision I think I've ever seen in adult trans healthcare in the UK, and that's saying something. The Welsh Gender Service is one of the best in the country. It is widely praised by the patients it helps. That is why it is being targeted.
