Podcast person. I edit @tvisgoodpod.bsky.social and I do most everything for @radiogo.show

just saw a story about the second season of Three-Body Problem coming soon and I mean surely we can come up with a better TV system than "hey remember that thing you watched eight episodes of two and a half years ago? no? you don't? you can't remember the plot or characters at all? well we're back!"

Maybe our most fun episode so far, and definitely our most suspenseful. Will @kvanaren.bsky.social's voice hold up for the entire hour? Will @rileyrose.site be able to edit out ALL of her coughing fits? Start streaming to find out!

In this week’s @tvisgoodpod.bsky.social episode, Kathryn & I look at HBO’s Lanterns, then revisit a comic book deep cut with the delightful one-and-done action comedy The Middleman, starring a young Natalie Morales. Watch on YouTube:

Visiting the Fringe & looking for suggestions as to what to see? Here are some of my favourites so far: Paid: Madeleine Brettingham, Mark Thomas, Larry Dean, Jamie Wolf, Shane Torres, Amanda Dwyer, Ray O'Leary. Free/PWYW: Tom Ballard, Ayo Adenekan, Chris Cantrill, 30 Burty & Thriving.

I picked up N++, a platformer I've loved for more than half my life, again last month, and fell in love with making levels all over again. Turns out a beautiful minimalist design layered on top of rock solid platforming gameplay doesn't really age.

Your forbears, who lived hundreds of years in the past, carved their thoughts and hopes and feelings into words—a miracle. Through their art you can unlock beauty and kinship and a tradition of human feeling that you, now, reading it, continue and kindle anew. The robot agreed: that shits gay dude

There should be a legal requirement not to label “long term online rental until the platform loses rights” as “Buy”. Call it what it is, “long rental”. At which point companies are incentivised to figure out how to make buy *mean* buy, or else lose sales to cheaper short rental and physical media.

I realized, one of my games were lost to time when I removed my old bluesky account. I figured out how to embed a game directly into Bluesky, an asteroids clone set in an universe where time doesn't exist. Now I'm releasing the remake! You can play it right here:

It's the game Asteroids but everything is frozen in time. At the bottom, text says Time: 0, Score: 0
