Car Drivers. I have 2 asks 1. Don't hit me with your car 2. Make eye contact with me at junctions, so i know you know i exist and item 1 is less likely.

Buyers are likely to be rich, “urban” and “very design literate, very technology literate”, “The person making this purchase will be choosing the car because it’s a bold choice.” “It’s the type of car that you park up and everybody stops and says: ‘Fucking hell, what have you just turned up in?’”

Lots of stuff to celebrate coming out of Burnham's speech yesterday. On social care, on public infrastructure, on trying to break the link between international gas prices and domestic electricity, on electoral reform, on investing in young people. But where was the climate? lnkd.in/p/e3wC4RVP

Things that aren't patriotic: - Racism - Moving abroad for tax purposes Things that are patriotic: - A love and sense of duty to your country, including paying taxes that contribute to it

Such sad news about Joe Harkness. Bird Therapy was one of the crowd funders of any kind i got involved in, i remember the excitement seeing my name in the back. I know Joe had a complicated relationship with the book, but for me it was enlightening.

Not all problems can or should be solved by "Give the Mayors the powers", Combined authorities are the least democratically representative bodies in the structure of government.

UK could 'unlock' 100 more oil and gas projects, say North Sea bosses

The UK could supply half of its oil and gas needs without imports if the government showed more support for the sector, an OEUK report claims.

What's potentially even better than this amazing sweater and this amazing sweater photo, is that it may be a very pre-007 Roger Moore, who - more than one source claims - was known as "The Big Knit" for all the sweater modeling he did.

Advertising photo, possibly from a catalog, featuring a man wearing a turtleneck sweater with three bicycles and riders on it. The man is himself standing with a bicycle.

I don't remember government ministers speaking this way about Just Stop Oil and Palestine Action. Why do they insist on pandering to racist thugs?

Minister says some agitators were 'intimidating and thuggish'
Some protestors showed “intimidating and thuggish behaviour” this weekend, Sarah Jones, the policing minister said.

But she added she did not seek to “minimise” legitimate concerns people had about small boat crossings.

“This government has taken action to fix the broken system we inherited and crack down on the people smugglers,” Jones said, pointing out that system-wide arrests were up 70%.

If "legitimate concerns" were considered to excuse illegitimate methods, then nobody from Just Stop Oil or Palestine Action would have been arrested. So we know it doesn't. In fact that phrase is only ever used in one context. Only in that context is uniformed mob intimidation "peaceful protest"

Nick Robinson on Today is literally talking about ‘legitimate concerns’ after second night of organised men dressed in black - sorry ‘protesters’ - mobilising en masse in another littoral town. This is how street fascism is normalised

I am more terrified of gangs of misinformed masked thugs roaming the streets looking for a fight, stoked up my lies peddled by racists hell bent on creating division. Now would be a great time for politicians to step up, condemn the gangs, the rhetoric and get actual facts into the public domain

80 year-olds with pro-Palestine signs: arrested as terrorists. Greens planning to block a road, to highlight an existential crisis: sent down for years. Masked far-right thugs blocking roads and ports, using intimidation, obstruction & threatening behaviour: no arrests. The real two-tier policing.
