The Mayo bus has accidentally driven under a ladder and smashed through the Swinford mirror factory on its way home. This is the one thing we didn’t want to happen.
Flip the script so that what's extreme is requiring people to buy a $50,000, dinosaur-juice-burning, 6000-lb machine to take the kids to school or get a gallon of milk... ...while riding a $5,000, 70-lb bike powered by a combo of a trickle of electricity and your own two legs is just normal.

You've got to wonder whether the person who put this together was aware they were comping a photo of a door over the face of a dead man who had been recreated with the help of his family and CGI artists in tribute to him.

Can you imagine the uproar if someone's legal car was seized and immediately crushed because some woodentop made a mistake? And the Police don't even apologise or accept they made a mistake. It's good to see this go mainstream. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

South Dublin County Council is seeking an Active Travel Officer

DRUMROLL - we've got our first side-road zebra crossings! Well done Manchester & Westminster for piloting. And Oxfordshire for rolling it out.
Oxfordshire has its first two “side-road zebra crossings”, installed without Belisha beacons or zig-zags, on St Margaret’s Rd where it meets Banbury Rd in north Oxford, and on Cornwallis Rd where it meets Henley Ave in east Oxford. Such crossings are standard in mainland Europe but rare in the UK.

Sure you've got your Count Binface, but when it comes to eccentric British candidates, retired Royal Navy officer Bill Boaks was a force to contend with. By all accounts Boaks was a terrible campaigner, but his single-minded dedication to the cause of road safety was a force to be reckoned with. 🧵
Good grief. Wandsworth Council’s plans to “tackle the gridlock” & “get Puntey’s roads mvping again” all involve stealing space & time from pedestrians in a self-defeating effort to increase traffic throughput 🤦♂️ Really bleak, horribly misguided stuff
