Faster buses are coming to Flatbush Avenue! The Mamdani administration announced today construction will resume at the end of the month to deliver protected, center-running bus lanes from Livingston Street to Grand Army Plaza. This will be a transformative upgrade for the corridor.

NYC DOT has brought pedestrian fatalities to their lowest levels. We are aware that our pedestrian model is based on a simple formula, which is why the agency worked with MIT on this study. We'll be continuing to work with MIT to build a more comprehensive model for predicting pedestrian activity.

The city Department of Transportation may be underestimating the number of pedestrians on outer-borough streets, due to a Manhattan-first bias that may end up putting pedestrians at risk, a new study finds.
