While I’m recommending underrated things, I can never give enough shout outs to Mr Inbetween. An Aussie series about a hitman that features incredible writing, acting, directing and cinematography. A truly great drama that deserves to be spoken about in the same breath as Breaking Bad in my opinion.

We can't afford to keep this up. Imagine all the things we could be spending money on per year instead of propping up private cars & the motor industry. Time to better subsidise other, cleaner forms of transport and save money for things like housing, education, health, etc.

📢 Australia’s “car economy” costs at least $316 billion a year, a new study estimates – and non-drivers are among those bearing half the cost.

have you let your programmer out today for walkies???? don’t let them get code benz or ‘matrix holed’. make sure they have regular walks, fresh water, and ample bracket-shaped treats

Oh hey, the talk I did 4 years ago at Indigo is publicly online again: vimeo.com/1043392470 Here I do a walk-through of solving a real graphics bug in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I was hoping this would be helpful for students or novice programmers who were maybe interested in graphics.

This was one of the most hard-hitting talks I saw at #GDC2024. @thewritegame.bsky.social and Tim Stobo shot for the moon in getting the game industry to give a shit about burnout. This slide about the most severe causes of burnout hit real hard! www.gamedeveloper.com/production/w...

A slide detailing the most severe factors causing burnout: Insufficient Rewards, Lack of Control, Absence of Fairness, Value Conflicts, Work Overload, and Breakdown of Community.
