Any Canadian legal experts on Bluesky? If a safety mechanism that has been proven to save lives in a workplace gets removed by new managers and then someone is killed b/c it's no longer there... Is the new manager at fault? What if it's public infrastructure and an elected official?

This is why I keep saying: if Dems are serious about accountability, they need to be ready to bull their way through the scolding & tut-tutting that is inevitably going to greet even the mildest attempts. It will come from Rs, from pundits, from journalists, from centrist Ds. It'll be relentless.

I get objections to enforcement are often cynical but it's a huge mistake for urbanists to dismiss genuine concerns about policing & state power - it loses potential allies & leaves you unprepared when power is turned on you. Solidarity to these protesters who are doing something important & brave.

The transbay bus is pretty magical. I had a meeting in downtown SF at 8:30am. Took the bus, had the meeting and am on the bus back. So cool to be able to casually pop into downtown SF stress free in the middle of rush hour

Phonebanked with a crew of about 12 people for 2.5 hours tonight into Contra Costa and Alameda County to save our BART, bus and paratransit by passing Measure RTM. The vibes were immaculate. Fun calling crew, nice people (generally) answering the phones. Lots of yeses and ask for yard signs
