Reminder: Being a trans woman does not remove you from criticism, esp if you're white. Existing in leftist spaces is not the Oppression Olympics, you will be criticized if you're racist! Simple as that. Your status as trans does NOT absolve you from being racist or ableist or a piece of shit. ✨

The Stonewall Inn released a response to the National Parks Service removing the word transgender from the park outside of the Inn. A great reminder that we have to look after each other

The Stonewall Inn and The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative are outraged and appalled by the recent removal of the word 'transgender' from the Stonewall National Monument page on the National Park Service website. This blatant act of erasure not only distorts the truth of our history, but it also dishonors the immense contributions of transgender individuals - especially transgender women of color - who were at the forefront of the Stonewall Riots and the broader fight for LGBTQ+ rights.

Oi. “Mental disorders” are not something you get to assign to people you don’t agree with politically. Even the egregious ones. We are being targeted and the language you use MATTERS. Normalizing ableism hurts some of the most vulnerable people in society. Don’t do it.

Living with disabilities is a masterclass in how to handle gaslighting You get it from everyone. Doctors, family, friends, bosses, colleagues A neverending litany of people telling you “it can’t be THAT bad” or “you should just do this” We are the experts in our bodies. Respect us. Listen to us.

My friend Garrett once absolutely skewered a guy for saying something sexist, and when someone else tried to defend him by saying 'he's just saying it to get a reaction' Garrett followed with 'well this is the reaction, is anyone enjoying it?' The sexist was silent the rest of the night.

Cis men truly need to understand the power of saying “that’s fucked up bro why would you say that” to another cis man

📣 MAJOR MAJOR PSA 📣 YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SIGN UP FOR A PROTEST. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO "REGISTER" TO SHOW SOLIDARITY. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GIVE YOUR NAME, ADDRESS, AND PHONE NUMBER TO HAND OUT AND DISTRIBUTE MATERIALS. YOU JUST SHOW UP.

also if you see a website about a “strike” or other large-scale protest, and they ask you to “sign up” by giving your personal information, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION! they are almost certainly honeypots! and any that might not be can easily be compromised!
