Just finished knocking doors today to get Democratic voters their voting guide. A little worry but a lot more enthusiasm. As a Democratic precinct leader, I helped people learn how to update their registration & find their voting location. It’s no pressure civic engagement. So many thank you’s!

Roger Marshall charged his patients 18% annual interest on their unpaid bills. His bakery bill for $678.75 was due six years ago. At 18% interest compounded annually, the total he'd owe would be at least $1,800. Marshall just paid the bakery $1,300—far less than what his patients would owe.

I’m involved in local politics enough that an elected official reached out to me and suggested we ride bikes together. It was a great chance to talk about car-centric policies! Get involved in local politics! It’s a slog sometimes but build those relationships and change the world.
Post canvassing treat! Knocked doors to engage Democratic candidates in Shawnee, KS. Great convos at the door. A few took signs. Had a friend go with me for her first time. Met two potential new volunteers. Success! Less anxiety too!
Oh wow. This is the sort of thing which voters absolutely HATE (well, except for Trump who gets away with it all the time). And the contrast with Marshall suing & arresting his patients for similar amounts of past-due invoices is absolutely perfect.
