Kansans across the state pushed back against a power grab by Republicans leaders to control the state Supreme Court. We organized to get out the vote. Action is an anedcdote to apathy. Community can conquer cynicism. Do not let your political power lie dormant. #Kansas

#Kansas voters coming up big to shut down a Republican power grab of the state Supreme Court. Glad to be one small part in helping Democratic voters know more about this by knocking 700+ doors in my neighborhoods. Even sweeter this was introduced by my state Senator Mike Thomspson (R-Shawnee).

Republican power grabs in Kansas and Missouri are going down in flames with 18-25% of votes reported so far. Missouri's Amendment 4 aimed to make citizen-initiated constitutional amendments practically impossible. Kansas' Amendment 1 was designed to flip the state Supreme Court to ban abortion

🎥The Voting Rights Act built Kansas City’s Black political power. SCOTUS gutted the law that made it possible — and the fallout is already reshaping this year’s midterms. “Truth vs. Troost: Kansas City, gerrymandering and the fight for representation” premieres August 6, only for subscribers.

🚨ATTENTION MISSOURIANS🚨 Today is a big day in your state. 🧵From primary elections to the long-awaited conclusion to the GOP’s redistricting war, here’s what YOU need to keep on your radar👇

A page from the DOGE playbook: "Please email me weekly on the five things you've accomplished this week." No one is going to care about what these universities publish except for fascists to find one small thing they will mischaracterize and use as leverage. Collective action is the answer.

Pro-wrestling executive Linda McMahon issued a letter today (in her role as US Secretary of Education) demanding that universities justify their existence and explain policies to the Trump administration by the end of 2026. Not sure what the endgame is, but it sure feels like a trap.

As a Democratic volunteer, information like this is hope. Hope is not about relaxing because things 'look good.' Hope is about fuel to keep at something. Working in medicine has taught me a lot about hope. We have a lot of work to do in #Kansas. Change is possible. #KSgov #BlueKansas

Anyone who has worked in healthcare will never forget the horrors we have experienced through the pandemic. No amount of lying or gaslighting can ever erase that.

Overheard at the Baltimore airport…two middle aged dudes having beers: I haven’t used ChatGPT in a while. Months. There is a way to tell it “take everything you know about me, my voice, my thoughts & put it into a file I can give to a new AI to know me.” Then use one of the other ones. It’s great!
