Graze always works better together! Someone builds a filter once, publishes it, and anyone can drop it into a feed - that's what we call custom nodes. Now, they keep themselves current! Turn on Auto-Update to take every safe release, hold on the ones that need attention, and build with ease!

One of the things that is really difficult when building on an open protocol is interoperability. It only takes one well intentioned fork to break the experience downstream for others.

I wonder if other prominent react native apps will go to native too if this proves viable. I enjoy using Compos Multiplatform but I often wonder if I should build the ios UI with Swift UI and just keep the database and other data stuff in kotlin.

My time in dev rel taught me if the content doesn't come, you gotta bring the content, i.e partnerships. With permissioned data and communities you could tell Spotify, hey, bring your data here in your scope, show it only to subscribers and people can have a convo about their fave new jam.

I wonder how much of this is bc of the product, and not for lack of trying by the bsky team mind you. World cup and NBA highlights weren't here. The core product hasn't evolved much either. atproto has the primitives for a compelling social experience, bluesky just doesn't have the content.

An interesting thing I've noticed is the tech press keeps going on about Google Zero about how Google's AI overviews are gonna be gate keepers of the open web. However, the tech press seems to use Meta's Threads more than Mastodon or Bluesky. Be the change you want to see, etc.

One thing that would be really nice for permissioned data on atproto would be a permissioned/public mirror. A collection's NSID should be compatible with its permissioned and public set. I should be able to mark a permissed record as public, and a public mirror should exist. Toggle again to delete
