I’m reading the fascinating and beautiful Q is for Garden by my brilliant friend @jennychambles.bsky.social; it’s a wonderful exploration of the queer world of plants, ground and gardens, and a deeply personal memoir.
And here is the radiant @jennychambles.bsky.social with their beautiful new book Q is for Garden - on binaries and boundaries, earthing & unearthing, the porous & the unquantifiable.
My pal @jennychambles.bsky.social's beautiful new book is released today and I feel some of you will be interested in it!

The best review from the best of reviewers. What joy it is to feel your words have met someone.
This is a bloody marvel. @jennychambles.bsky.social has found ways to be extremely erudite and extremely tender. It’s out on July 4th and you really should make it your summer read — but not just for summer.
Publishing in July, a bold, tender exploration of how queerness and nature entwine - and what happens when we step beyond the binaries that fence us in. There is a Q in garden, but you can't always see it. Pre-order your copy today! @jennychambles.bsky.social #booksky #gardening #LGBTQIA
With all eyes on #RHSChelsea Flower Show this week, we asked author @jennychambles.bsky.social to make a short film of their garden - the place at the centre of their forthcoming book, Q is for Garden, which is out in July. Watch it on Instagram here: www.instagram.com/p/DYjjN4kuTOt/ #booksky

With all eyes on Chelsea Flower Show this week, I wrapped up in my red dressing gown to make an early morning film of my garden - the place at the centre of my forthcoming book, Q is for Garden. In true cat fashion, Kalli chose to make herself the star of my amateur garden show, which also features several of the plants who appear in the book.I wrote Q from this garden, and my garden became the centre of what I learned about writing, plants, culture cultivation and sexuality. Gardening is a beautiful, radical act as @blacklodgepress point out. And all the interventions of more-than-human beings along the way are what helped this book to grow. ...#rhschelsea #qisforgarden #naturewriting #queergardener #catsofthegramView all comments

Currently reading Theory of Water. Looking forward to listening to this conversation, then re-reading, then re-listening. 🌊
What would happen to our writing, our politics, our living if we thought of land as pedagogy, theory as something embodied & kinetic? Theory of Water is the touchstone book for me this year, a map for the future. Audio📻🌊: tinhouse.com/podcast/lean... @biidaasamose.bsky.social @haymarketbooks.org
Lovelies, I’m not getting on with this app. It looks a wee bit too much like the formerly and deceased and I’ve lost my mojo for sharing, spouting, oo-er silliness and reframing good stuff. I can’t sort my algorithm and there’s… All This Going On Out Here. Want to help me get my mojo back?

Ministers run away from a wealth tax and then concoct a punitive benefits system. They have made that choice and it’s immoral, says Guardian columnist Frances Ryan
