After a year of posting the pre-print, we now updated the manuscript in bioRxiv with beautiful agent-based simulations from Sotiris Samatas (EMBL) recapitulating symmetry breaking in gastruloids. @barcelonacollaboratorium.com @embl.org

Really happy to share with you my last work from my time in @embl.org with the @viktri08.bsky.social group. We studied the dynamics of cell fate transition in gastruloids and found that cells communicate with each other to control the timing of symmetry breaking. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

Emergence and Self-organisation across biological scales! I hope you are ready for next year conference! It will be an incredible event April 20-22 2026. The first of many #LakeConference organised by @ehannezo.bsky.social @alleninstitute.org and James Sharpe @embl.org

50+% cut to the US National Science Foundation budget is staggering. These include cuts for research in Chemistry. Physics, Geology, Math, Engineering, Computer Science. Scientific discoveries and training of our next generation of scientists and engineers are halved. How is that helping the US?
