Hot take: if there were mermaids or dragons, they would be seen as resources or pets. We would have mermaid-sushis and dragonscales handbags and dream of a world with some other weird animal. I mean: we have amazing giant blue whales and weird shit like platypuses or axolotls and noone gives a fuck.

one thing the ai era makes me miss is really shitty bespoke photoshops you used to get just the lowest effort garbage imaginable made by people who have opened the program three times in their entire life, but it had some charm to it and now they just generate the same bullshit as everyone else
