#NEAGLY was solid. Good in terms of bingeable Dad action. Not on Reacher’s level per se but very much scratches the same itches. Liked the team she built up, hope it sticks for a 2nd season. ESP rad that it pitted Neagley against a cult bc… man, fuck cults.

#ATX dudes and ppl who dress in dude clothes: This closes at 2 today, but amazing deals happening! I got some incredible stuff today.

THE SQUIRREL is a lovely Finnish utopian/dystopian comedy/drama in which a man in an anodyne and sterilized future city finds a real squirrel where no other animals exist. Plays out very naturally from there. Great reflections on nature & humanity. The sweetest film at #FantasticFest this year.

THE CYCLE: Writer/Director Jordan Downey is an emerging major talent. His zero budget movie THE HEAD HUNTER was a calling card & THE CYCLE is his full blown arrival. A patient/engrossing police procedural transforms into practical horror breathing new life into a well-trodden genre. #FantasticFest

POSTHUMOUS is the INTERSTELLAR of cosmic horror / analog horror movies. I was drawn in and creeped out and ultimately kind of touched?! #FantasticFest

Robert Pattinson is incredible in PRIMETIME, but he’s actually the gateway to beyond-belief performances by Skyler Gisondo and Merritt Wever. Loved the cinematography by David Bolen, which drenches the ensemble cast in an all-encompassing digital dread #FantasticFest

PRIMETIME is pretty fantastic even after the impactful doc from last year called PREDATORS that covers similar territory. The performances, direction, and script are all firing here. Not a hopeful picture of the state of our country, media, etc. tough stuff. #FantasticFest #Primetime

I just saw the original HELL HOUSE doc. Incredible stuff. Released 25 years ago. Filmed JUST before 9/11. Capturing a theology in a certain place/time that highly influences where we are today. The scariest and most “can’t look away from the car crash” film I’ve seen yet at #FantasticFest #HellHouse
