It’s very gross when a premier whose province has been minimally affected by tariffs, because of the nature of its industries rather than its political leadership, takes shots at other provinces that are feeling more pain.
Danielle Smith on banning U.S. alcohol sales: A: "Part of the reason why we've had a light touch of tariffs in AB is that we've engaged in a very constructive diplomatic relationship with the US ... 97% of our products go across the border tariff-free, and we have not done nasty ads in the US."
At last night's Alberta Prosperity Project townhall, a keynote speaker spouted a racist remark that drew warm applause from the audience. I won't repeat the vile comment here. You can find video elsewhere. But it is very troubling, if entirely unsurprising. +
