It's TIME! TO! GET! HYPE! Today, I get to proudly unveil Steam Hype, the project I've been working on with the help of @hookshot.media for the past two and a half months. A new PC gaming site which aims to demystify PC gaming, cut through the 100+ daily releases and spotlight indies as much as AAA
Steam Hype
Steam Hype is your go-to destination for discovering the latest, greatest, and most talked-about games on Steam.

10% of your development timeline should be set aside after launch for crying. Post-launch depression is real.
Eternal Skies TCG RPG@eternalskies.neocities.org · 4mo agoOne tip that indie game devs always forget is that when you release your game you have to allocate a space and plenty of time for crying.
There isn't enough Cabbage art out there. I'm really looking forword to 1.0 of Alabaster dawn. #fanart #alabasterdawn #digitalart

I'm so impressed by the pixel art and animation in Alabaster Dawn from @radicalfishgames.com. If the Early Access launch is already this polished, I can't wait to see how it ends up at 1.0. @lachsen.bsky.social #earlyaccess #Indiegame #steam #rpg 🎮 Wrote about it at @thegeeklygrind.bsky.social -

Alabaster Dawn raises the bar in pixel art gameplay, animation and movement.
Hey Game devs! I'm looking for an Audio programmer who might be able to answer some questions about modifing voice chat in real time so players might sound like non human, distorted, etc. Potentially a small paid job! #gamedev

Pixelart is it's own style and even "unclean pixelart" as seen here just has a different visual impact compared to highres 2D. Even if it's not clean, it might have a bigger appeal to many. Actually... let's turn this into a little thread so I can talk more about this.

Autumn is the time of the year where the harvest is celebrated with loved ones! 🍂🥕🍃🍎 Music is by CrossCode composer @shirakumon.com This is our game #AlabasterDawn
I was not prepared for this game to feature such violence.
Trying out CrossCode, which has convinced me that games need to do away with silent protagonists and give me more monosyllabic goobers instead.
Valor O'Lira, some #AlabasterDawn fan art! I was a bit delayed in finishing this (Juno's initial sketch was being very difficult), but I got it done. The demo was super fun, and I love what's been shown for Alabaster Dawn so far! I'm stoked for the full release @radicalfishgames.com !
Juno from the upcoming #AlabasterDawn. The demo was a pleasure to play, I can't wait for the finished game!
