I’d add: Lineker is one of these people, a majority a media figure who owns the country’s most popular politics podcasts. And when the Mail decided they were going to get him, none of these people defended him. If they won’t stand up for *their own boss*, then why would they ever stick up for you?

Did Britain accidentally become a place where a convicted Neo Nazi who harassed an MP in a really horrifying manner can expect hugely more robust defence from politicians and media against criticism than, say, Gary Lineker can? I would say, no: this was deliberately inflicted upon everyone.

Today, the EHRC Code takes effect, restricting which toilets trans people can use. As a proud ally, I backed EDM 240 calling it unworkable. This debate is still dominated by people who don’t understand the realities of trans people’s lives.

The office of Senator Mitch McConnell has released a statement saying the Senator has been granted permission by his doctor to vote on Blanche’s confirmation. If he floats to the top of the formalin filled tank it means the Senator is voting “yay” and if he sinks to the bottom it’s also a “yay”.
