A fantastic article written by young people, given voice to the people both initiatives would actually impact. Having places to develop independence from parents is important for kids in supportive families. It is lifesaving for kids from unsupportive homes, queer kids especially.

There’s only 6 hours left to vote in today’s primary elections. Only 20% of voters in King County have turned in their ballot so far. Boomers are out voting Gen Z by almost 5 to 1.

WOW. New announcement from Seattle CMs Strauss, Hollingsworth, and Foster saying they will fund universal school meals starting in the fall after all by using the general fund. Hard to see this as anything but a realization of the high political price they paid for their votes yesterday.
