Housing is always on my mind. We need rent stabilization, we need renter protections, we need a new voice in Olympia that understands the life of a renter in this region. Someone that will actually stand up for renters and advocate for more social housing, density, and tenant protections.

BREAKING: The Seattle City Council has just voted 8-0 to pass the new ordinance banning landlords from imposing junk fees and requiring up-transparency in rental listings.

Day 3 Update: @kelabe.bsky.social won 54.82% of all the new votes counted today! He is at 49.13% total, but I'm sure he'll top 50% after tomorrow's drop. An amazing victory over a multi-decade incumbent in the primary - all the more reason to get behind him in the general!

Day 2 Update: @kelabe.bsky.social received 51.61% of the votes counted today! Grand total puts him at 46.59% but this could easily top 50% by the end of the week.

INBOX: Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson and City Councilmember Alexis Mercedes Rinck have announced a new bill to ban grocery stores from engaging in algorithmic price gouging. Under the proposal, companies would be barred from using sensitive personal info to set different prices for different customers.

Washington State counties are posting their Thursday tabulations. In D-on-D legislative races: - 48th District: Amy Walen (inc.) has fallen below 50%. Jessica Forsythe trails by just 443 votes. - 37th District: Sharon Tomiko Santos (inc.) is also losing ground. Kelabe Tewolde trails by 249 votes.

There’s only 6 hours left to vote in today’s primary elections. Only 20% of voters in King County have turned in their ballot so far. Boomers are out voting Gen Z by almost 5 to 1.
