Yes, after I learned the rocket was heading to moon a few days ago, it was difficult to find any concrete information other than what appeared to be spacex-aligned “don’t look up” bs. Eventually I learned it was 5 storeys high, travelling at over 7 times the speed of sound (drifting my ass) etc.

In the 1950s we had 700 different chemicals in our food Today we have over 10,000 in our food In Europe, they only have 700 still today. Kelloggs makes the safer Canadian version and the American version. Two different options, same manufacturer. Americans have been sold out sadly.

Yes. The economy of the US State has, for it's entire 250 yrs, *required slave labour* to meet it's financial expectations. bsky.app/profile/chad...
The diarrhea lettuce company, Taylor Farms, uses slave labor contracted from the Arizona Dept. of Corrections. The backbreaking labor is often performed by imprisoned Mexican nationals who would be otherwise ineligble to work in the US. They are paid $1.50 an hour.

If you’re down Warrnambool way this is the joint. Been around since 1949 and still going strong. 🤤
At this point in time we have no idea what our role will be. It sounds like if we find sick birds we can't help them, which is devastating to wildlife carers and rescuers. And it was reckless of Victorian Government to allow the Duck hunting season to go ahead.

Offshoring was supposed to die in the AI age, but it's more effective than ever
AI was supposed to end offshoring. It seems to be doing the opposite. In line with this week’s news that Qantas is considering taking 1000 jobs to India, it seems that most of our industry’s prediction...

@robertarnol.bsky.social could you tell me an enormous favour give me a serious crit of the children’s book I’ve sent to you I don’t care if it’s negative in fact I need the negative as much as positive I’ve got a chance to pitch to a publisher in September so I’m on a bit of a deadline for 1st time
This is why supporting Dr Tracy Westerman’s work is so important to me.
I refer readers to Richard Beckett's excellent history of food in Australia, 'Convicted Tastes'. Published in 1984 and still a damned good resource for anyone interested in the subject. Very hard to come by these days, but it's in the National Library in Canberra.
The US also has around 16 to 20% of the world's incarcerated population, in their for profit prisons. Most US manufacturing is done by prison slave labour.
I'd love to credit whoever wrote this. No idea. But I'm 100% with its message. When I think of how the '80s ethos, "Greed is Good" has metastasized, it surprises and depresses me. Imagine having so many millions, hundred of millions, even billions & caring about nothing except your own vanity.
Not a place where I’d like to live Not a place that I’d like to visit either

We as nation seem unable to fix it. And for me that’s purely about the will or the conscience to care. Out of regular sight. It’s outrageous.
It’s only Israeli propaganda and they keep posting this well in Hebrew they tell the truth
Benjamin Netanyahu: ‘IDF soldiers are the bravest, most moral, and most slandered soldiers on Earth.’ Israeli occupation soldiers are known for genocide, looting Palestinian homes, shooting starving elderly people, women, and children, and raping Palestinians.
my (67-yr-old) mum just text me this: "Singapore 1988 wearing a costume made from my wedding dress." 🥹 like.. is that or is it not the Australian People's PRINCESS™ ??
Some of you are posting your favourite hamburger places in Australia Where they make real burgers Feel free to create a list here so that Travellers can find them
Do any Australians remember the hamburgers of their youth before the mass produced McDonald’s rubbish arrived? With actual fresh salad inc beetroot, a meat patty made by the business making the hamburgers, real ground beef, fried onion ?
whoppers are still good. as are the burgers at Alfred’s Kitchen in Guildford WA. haven’t changed in 40 years
I routinely stop in Booroowa between Canberra and Wellington for just such a burger. Roadhouse Cafe on your left heading north.
Old Denis seafood on main St, Lithgow. Someone posted it on twitter a few years ago so gave it a go when passing through. Good old fashioned burger.
I wish Ed Husic a speedy recovery. No good at all.
Terrible news about Ed Husic but very relieved he’s let us know that he’s thankful he wasn’t more seriously injured. It still sounds very serious anyway…😕 Take care @edhusicmp.bsky.social 💜🩷❤️
Zucchini fritters are great. Or my simple version is. I grate some zucchini, maybe a cup and a half. Squeeze it dry. Mix it in with plain old all in one pancake mix, add a little garlic powder and just enough water to get it pancake batter thick. Get your pan hot with oil - and make some.
