Wow, a blast from the past... That picture which I took myself at my Nan's house 😭😅
Every single Ukrainian should feel insulted. I'm trying not to swear on this app, but that man is a demented fucking maniac who literally just wants a Nobel Peace Prize.

I just unfroze my gym membership (cuz I didn't have the energy over Christmas and have been away for a fortnight) and just got an email saying: 'Ready to get back into it, Alexandra? No, mate. I am not, in any way, shape, or form, ready to get back into it, Alexandra.

I fucking LOVE stickers but I’m scared to waste them so I struggle to stick them on things. This is a constant struggle.
www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/epis... A treat I have been saving myself, as it's based on one of my favourite ghost stories 'Mansize In Marble' by Edith Nesbit and one of its predecessors, the Mezzotint actually freaked me out... So obviously, I loved it 👻💀🎄
A Ghost Story for Christmas - Woman of Stone
Edith Nesbit recounts the chilling tale of newlywed Victorians Jack and Laura and the legend of two marble tomb effigies, who are said to rise each year and walk.

Artie has awoken this morning and is now engaging in that most British of Post-Boxing Day rituals: Standing before the open fridge, sighing and muttering "How the hell are we going to eat all this stuff before it goes off?"

I'm mad that I left this great philosophical problem out of my vampire book.
On the one hand I would love the immortality that comes with being a vampire, but on the other hand what good is immortality if you can’t have garlic bread?
I find it so funny when people are like, “I like Lin-Manuel Miranda, I just wish he weren’t so corny.” Like, what do you think the #1 requirement for a composer of musical theatre is.
The dirty little open secret to writing is that no one will ever know, nor care, how many drafts of a thing were written - people will only ever care about the crafted thing, and will, despite all knowledge to the contrary, assume it came out fully formed that way. No one thinks about shit drafts.
How do you publicise things on BlueSky? I mean, I don't know how to do that the best of times, but if you're in Kent, this is me on Saturday night. Except I won't have plaits in.
I'm going to blow your mind: It is possible for the same person to enjoy paper books, ebooks, AND audiobooks, all for different reasons and at different times.
Also: If you don't have money to buy my (or anyone's) books, and you live in the anglosphere, before you pirate them, try to get them from your local library instead. They have it or can get it, they pay for the books, and in many places writers get paid for their books being lent. Everyone wins!
York was a beautiful place to have a recall audition in. How are historical buildings so damn sexy?
