I’m an old queer who grew up in San Francisco whose mom told me about hiv in 1978 before even the CDC knew. I watched her bury all her friends and then when I got older I buried a lot of mine. I’ve battled cops, gay bashers, AIDS and our own government for 40 years.
This privacy exploit was brought to recon's attention before they launched the "new recon" and they assured me it wasn't a real concern. Hopefully a file explaining EXACTLY how this is exploited with a real-world example will convince them it's a real concern. Please share this with your network.

This doesn't stop someone who has no medical training whatsoever claiming they are delivering medical care (and indeed, I think most conversion therapists do this already) and then performing conversion therapy. This ban does not stop that whatsoever. This just isn't a ban at all.
