I looked at Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links m'a summon animations when planning the visual direction for our ultimate cards. They're simple, effective and the short comic format allows us to make a heavy hit without overcomplicating our animation pipeline.

#ALoM features 7 Ultimate cards. Since players are restricted to exactly one per deck, you need to be tactical when to use this massive shift in the match. Our plan is to make it that went dropping an ultimate, it activates a short three-panel comic sequence as seen in these sketches. #indiegame
