I got a new phone and I'm kinda taking it as an occasion to stay logged out of almost everything except Discord, and go back to the days of being "on the computer" as only a specific activity and portion of my day. Been really nice so far!!

Supper Mario Broth@mariobrothblog.bsky.social · 2w agoDonkey Kong 64 makes extremely efficient usage of in-engine coloration to cut down on the number of textures. Entire vibrant and colorful areas are created at runtime from a single texture just by artfully tinting it.

We end with our hero in Disco Jail and separated from his partner; all this drama surely means we are close to the end of the game. Which is... true, but not quite as true as I thought.
