I want to support local cafés and restaurants but I also want to buy groceries and pay my power bill.

I got my septum pierced again! Felt like it was a piece of the old me I had lost, so brought it back.
Dad is out of hospital today after 4 days of IV antibiotics to get rid of his infection. Gees what a night and day difference!
Great, half my tooth came out. I feel like since I gave birth my teeth are disintegrating.
These are tohu are tīpuna are with us. Māori mā, tauiwi mā. This sign is above my Dad's bed. It is suppose to be the plan for the patient. Obviously the previous patients name but this is also my father's mother's name. My Nana who I grew up with and lived with us for 10 years
Mum and Dad were discharged Monday but Dad has been falling, along with a few other symptoms, every day since. He was taken in an ambulance last night/early hours this morning and we are back in. But have found an infection and he is now on anti biotics. What a farken ride.
Also preliminary results but looks like we might get John Hart in for our General Wairarapa By-Election for GWRC
Within technology it has ALWAYS been if they can, they will. It is only a matter of time.
NEW: Flock has said for years that its cameras "cannot track individuals." We found the code for its new AI tool. It's preloaded w/ prompts like "Find me witness" & "find relatives." One tracks visitors of multiple hotels, another if you visit banks after midnight. www.wired.com/story/flock-...
Dad collapsed Monday night with Influenza A and has been in hospital since. All while I've been away for mahi. Been a hard trip to focus on during this time. Just want to get home and help my poor sister who has been running point.
So the farmer's signage space on the right is upset. The person who pays for the signage regularly is confused because it hasn't happened with other candidates he has put up. Racism. Or sexism. Whatever works.
Spent the day in cold and wet conditions putting all my billboards back up and putting up a few new ones.

This is also a space for building things like: - a shared community calendar for climate groups - a website that can help you with WINZ grants - a bike or ride sharing app - a website that connects growers with people with land available for growing - [your idea here!]
Check out criticalsignals.nz for the general dystopian-but-kinda-dealing-with-it vibe of the project it's happening at.

What was the outcome of the INZ AGM? Another Taxpayers Union person on?
The email is from: InternetNZ <elections@mi-voice.com> The subject line is: InternetNZ Annual General Meeting 2026
Hi InternetNZ member followers... A reminder that the AGM is tonight. Starting at 5:30pm. You must be on the call to participate in the voting. You will have received voting information, and your Unique Voter Code by email — probably overnight. Check your spam if you can't find it!
A petty reason to crow over Chris Penk, but as Minister for Land Information he nixed changing Petone to Pito One and Russell to Kororāreka, and wouldn’t add a macron to Rangitīkei and Manawatū. These name proposals are thoroughly researched and consulted for years, but he declined them on vibes.
So we moved house and seem to have found the only blackspot in Wairarapa for mobile coverage and we have no internet. So that is fun.
Gotta be honest, Marama Davidson and Chloe Swarbrick are pretty much the only two people even on my radar for PM right now. Every. Other. Option. is basically a slightly different flavour of shite. #nzpol #twoticksgreen
THIS is what we'll continue to get under a #NationalPartyNZ led govt. Funding for Disabled people to help them leave their houses - Cut. Saving $$$ of OUR money is all these assholes care about. #nzpol Disability transport subsidy cut 'feels like being targeted' www.rnz.co.nz/news/communi...
Disability transport subsidy cut 'feels like being targeted'
People with disabilities have been left feeling financially squeezed after a transport subsidy they rely on has been cut.

But this new house is so warm, is bigger space for us, is 5 minutes closer to everything (mahi, kura, supermarkets and our immediate whānau) and is cheaper.
The fridge had a few more dents (confessed by the person) when they pulled it out of the storage but it works. Regardless. This is my bargain of the century.
In Wairarapa, community Facebook pages are rife with misinformation and dislikes for councils forced to make decisions. Councils weren't given a timeframe for a referendum. Councils even if they chose the "Head start" pathway and put a proposal in, could get overruled by this Government.
Today is move day and baby wakes me up at 4 and I can't get back to sleep. I am also in some small pain from pilates yesterday so this is not ideal. But we pick up the truck to get our friggin awesome deal of a fridge and our large furniture.
