#TADA2026 is now up on lea.ac! Full schedule, filterable by people you follow, a custom feed, and more! (This is not part of the official TADA organization, just an experiment. Try it out and let us know what you think! Also a nice way to follow along virtually if you can't attend in person!)

A screenshot from Lea showing the conference page for TADA. The program tab is selected, and presentations are filtered by "People I follow." Each resulting presentation includes the title, presenters, location, time, a topic tag, and the person (or people) presenting whom I follow.

Looking forward to the Text as Data conference on Monday at UC Berkeley! I will be presenting our new paper "Multi-Perspective LLM Annotations for Valid Analyses in Subjective Tasks" which is a joint effort with Navya Mehrotra and @gligoric.bsky.social. 🧵

We self-published a history of biochemistry book. The Molecule Hunters is 133 profiles of the people who decoded life, from a physician weighing a willow tree in the 1640s to structural biologists predicting protein folds with AI. 190 scientists, eleven parts, four centuries.

I'm incredibly honored to be one of the inaugural winners of the Ctrl-Z award. The sequence of events preceding and following this retraction were harrowing (and are honestly still stressful), but I hope this will be an opportunity for more open dialogue about mistakes + self-retraction in science.

The Center for Scientific Integrity is proud to announce the inaugural winners of the 2026 Ctrl-Z Award. Named for the universal keyboard shortcut for “undo,” the Ctrl-Z Award this year honors @cetaceanneeded.bsky.social and @katelaskowski.bsky.social for choosing transparency over reputation.

My friend's NSF CAREER received the highest possible score (Excellent, Excellent, Excellent: High Priority) and it was rejected today. This would have been my friend's first extramural award, 5 years after starting their lab, exactly when grant $ is make or break for an Assistant Professor's career.

Been wondering why NSF isn't spending most of its FY26 appropriation? A $1.5B tech initiative may be the reason. And big cuts to hundreds of research programs could be just the beginning of the bad news. www.science.org/content/arti...

NEW: The Kennedy Center is a reminder that we can win, it will be messy, and Trump will be petty. The illegal effort to put Donald Trump's name on the Kennedy Center has always been a metaphor — but, this weekend, it became a story of how we get through this. Tonight, at Law Dork:
