Actually, I think we should gatekeep just a little bit. Not from newcomers or casual fans, but from the bad actors and grifters that just want to use fandom as a place to farm their rage bait. Gatekeep it from those people. Make them feel unwelcome again.

Mr. Sinister is not one of my favourite X-Men characters. But when I did my Marvelous X-May illustrations back in 2024 and it came time to draw him, I gained a whole new perspective when I realized he's just Dr. Frank-N-Furter from Rocky Horror. Adam is perfectly cast. No elaboration needed.

I just want everyone to know that I have also said “no” to directing any episodes of the HBO Harry Potter series. Unlike Ally Pankiw and Kate Herron, nobody asked me… but I still wanted to reject them based solely on principle.
