Simon McGarr@tupped.bsky.social · 2d agoThe more I look at it, the more this graph at the end of my most recent Gist explains the behaviour of so many of Ireland's political parties. SF, for example, simply can't deal with 50% of its supporters looking to strengthen institutions while the other 50% want to blow them up.
Goodness, what a weight on the players. What a sense of clashing responsibilities it must be. How unfair it falls to the group of young men after their institutional supports chose to send them there.

I don’t think that this should just be shrugged off. One of our Ministers (Enterprise or Justice, probably) has presented this plan. It isn’t an anonymous creature called the Irish Presidency. That is our Government.
