!New Paper Alert! Matrix independent and interference free in situ boron isotope analysis by laser ablation MC-ICP-MS/MS pubs.rsc.org/en/content/a.... In it we use our Neoma MC-ICPMS/MS to overcome the complexities of measuring boron isotopes by Laser Ablation in carbonates and other minerals. ⚒️🧪🌊🪸
The SCION Earth Evolution Model is turning 4 years old this spring. We have celebrated by extending the framework back to ~1 Ga before present We find some agreement with broad environmental trends from the rock record, but there is still plenty to learn! www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

A very pointless & unproductive thing I did is analyze electoral durations of U.S. House Representatives. Two superficial similarities to Phanerozoic taxon durations jump out: (1) declining turnover rates through time & (2) the election of 1932 was basically the P-Tr mass extinction for Republicans.
