Happy (other) birthday to James Hutton, born on this day, 14th June 1726, in the calendar used in most of Europe at the time. During Hutton's life, Britain caught up by missing 11 days of 1752. Nice to be following in his footsteps today, exploring the granite boundary in northern hills of Arran.
