This is not super uncommon. Projects this small you don't read the script before taking the job. It's all "we need Danny for these days" and the agent saying "he's available if you've got the money." I bet Danny's agent asks more questions going forward.

Something I wouldn't mind seeing from the DCU would be a "Secret Origins" animated anthology show. Just one-off episodes (maybe even with varying art styles) showing origin stories that the movies and shows skipped. Maybe even have Superman as a finale. Just something I think could be fun.
