Sometimes you pick an album from your music library you've listened to hundreds of times over the last 20 years and sometimes the cursor lands on "Crammle Aboon the Gees" by Worm Ridge which you have no memory of and are kinda scared to try to pronounce out loud and that's a good Friday

To honor one of the studios that defined PC gaming, we've republished more than 20 articles about BioWare today. The pcgamer.com homepage is dedicated to interviews, retrospectives, and making-ofs about some of the best RPGs of all time.

Morrigan throwing her hands into the air in frustration in Dragon Age: Origins

In the Japanese PC-88 port of Ultima 3: Exodus by Pony Canyon, if you try to Talk/Transact (T key) to an enemy monster, they literally say "FUCK YOU!!" in English. Hilarious, and apparently nobody has discovered or posted about this before online in English or Japanese

Please ignore the MTL release of Meremanoid that came out today. We have had a hearty band at work (Chapu, Popi, Mr. Nobody, Misty, Shentok and I) working hard on an all-human patch. Fully playable in English, in it final editing pass now. Popi provided these screencaps today. More news later.

So, "Schrödinger no neko" isn't up your alley? How about a fully 3D JRPG about an amnesiac siren? This is "Shinkai densetsu Meremanoid". Already hacked the thing, got a half-width font, script dumped, the whole kit and caboodle. Ping me if you know Japanese and want to translate it!

You ever try to do a classy diagonal cut on a sandwich but lazily assume you're too competent to fuck it up and then end up with a really awkward ugly like, 63% - 37% sandwich halves situation. I haven't. Bet that would be embarrassing though.

I'll add this: r/decomps is one of the most toxic communities the past few months. Any posts that raise some issues with how AI has negatively impacted the space turn into excessive derogatory comments that the moderation team do nothing to limit.

with the sunsetting of decomp.dev, people really need to come to terms with just how much damage vibecoders have done to our community and OSS in general. encounter is a fellow dusklight dev and friend, and seeing people treat him as replaceable in the scene is upsetting.

It's my great pleasure to give a long overdue progress update on our fully human-translated and human-coded English patch for the legendary Tokimeki Memorial 2!

Devastating news today. Richard “Levelord” Gray was such a great guy. Like many of our friends, I wish I could have hung out with him again. He was full of life, a gentle soul, and an excellent level designer. He was called “Levelord” for a reason.
