On the road again! My recovery and cleanup from Burning Man is mostly complete. Heading to ASC in SoCal today. I had to miss this con last year due to my surgery, so attending this year is a celebration of making it through all that, 1 yr later. Whew! See all you SoCal fuzzbutts soon!
It’s #FursuitFriday; its also the 25th annivers’y of 9/11. Hard to have levity 2day. I watched the towers get built as a kid,was in them,under them,on top of them. I was supposed to fly home from SoCal that day,drove my rental car home instead. Its a day to be thoughtful.📷: @manedcalico.bsky.social

It is time for my annual “Full truck” pic, as I make my way to Burning Man. It is hard to understate how important it’s been in my own personal journey. My life completely changed; I wouldn’t be a fur without it.This is my 20th Burn; now I go as a pilgrimage, to go back to where it all happened. :)

Final count for sampling Philly cuisine classics while at @furrydelphia.org for the weekend: 3 hoagies 2 cheesesteaks 1 pizza 1 soft pretzel (was gonna get more at the airport, but with all the flight chaos it never happened) I had to have a salad on the way home. :)
Enroute home from Philly, tough travel day. Flight PHL-OAK: cancelled! My FD roomie lives near Pittsburgh, so I rebooked a flight PIT-OAK. Roomie drove me across all of PA today. PIT flight delayed, missing connection in Chicago. At PIT,SW agent booked me on yet another flight to OAK via DEN. WHEW!

The local-to-Philly theming at @furrydelphia.org is fantastic! On the left is an actual SEPTA (Philly’s transit system) fare card. On the right is my SHEPTA pass to the after dark event Saturday nite. I had to show my ID at a fare booth w/an unintelligible speaker system. Perfect! :)
